Amazing.

Sun Feb 1, 2009, 10:24 AM
If you read my last journal entry before this one, you would have known I was struggling for patience and inspiration. I swear, God just answered it. But oh boy. This is where you say "be careful what you wish for" because this was NOT what I had in mind. So Kentucky has just gone through what their calling 'the worst storm to ever hit the state'. Even more worse then the wind storm of 2008 that knocked out the power and torn down trees. This storm started out as rain, then ice, then snow, then more ice and sleet. So the temperature drops below freezing and the ice covers all the branches on the trees like its a flipping winter wonderland. Well the first night, the wind blows against the branches and since their covered in ice? Well they crack and fall to the ground. By morning thousands and thosands of powerlines are down, and over 200,000 people without power! Me being one of them. It was like a war zone. If it wasn't the ice and snow making it absolutely impossible to travel on the roads, there were trees and powerlines blocking them. People got stuck and well, I think there still is someone stuck at the bottom of our hill. *SIGH*

Anyways, still wondering how God answered my wish? Well- I wanted patience, and having NOTHING to do for the almost five days really starts to get to you when your stuck in the house with the same people. I didn't have photoshop- All I had was my camera, and my pencil and paper. Not to mention outside my house was a amazing display of winter, so why NOT take pictures. I got bunches and bunches. But I also drew- what I think is the best human portrait I have ever done. I started reading The Heroin Diaries by Nikki Sixx and wow was that alot of inspiration. I drew Nikki Sixx, the image of him on the back of the book. My Nana said she wouldn't have believed I drew it without having walked in on my previously while I was doing it. =D and that made me feel realllly good.

I'm not a really religious person by any means. I don't go to church and I don't pray everyday like I should. Actually I hate church soo much I can't stand to talk about it. Like my dad pointed out before to me, going out and riding my horse is my religion. They say God is everywhere, well, then I think he would be just as happy for my to spend a day out in His woods riding, then in some Church, listening to some preacher, when instead of listening I can be sharing my own thoughts with Him. These are just my opinion, and I'm not trying to offend anyone. But I do believe there is someone up there, and he's got an amazing sense of humor.

Pewp.

All I gotta say is. Pewp. I've been struggling for inspiration lately. Like everytime I open up Photoshop, I've got all these ideals floating around, I'll get started on it, then about an hour or two in, I just drop it. It's like I don't think I'm pushing myself hard enough so I get discouraged and throw away something before I give it a chance. I really wish I could muster up some more patience, because lately I've had none at all. It's really frustrating.

I think I'm going to put away Photshop for awhile and focus more on my photography, which has been lacking lately too. I don't know if its me, or the bummy and dreary weather. I hate the winter, its so depressing. I've been trying to convey how depressing it makes me feel in photo's, but today was the first time it's really snowed all winter. But its all ICE so its hard to even go out anywhere in it.

I'm so all out of luck ain't I? Pewp.

Guess what?! Theres a new foal down at the barn =] A lettle baby colt! He's so adorable yesterday I finally got down to see him and brought my camera. I'm hoping to maybe start a series with him of different shots as he grows up. I've already got a good start.

But in other news I turned 18 on the 17th! Woot I'm totally legal haha. My birthday was killer, I went out with a friend to the movies then later went down to the tattoo parlor and had my lip pierced yay. Haha I even have a video, thanks to my friend xD

the DEADLY disease.

Tue May 6, 2008, 2:20 PM
Woah, sorry about the major in-activity. I've just been busy with loads of stuffs like graduation, prom, class day, and all kinds of other senior stuff. I've also had a major case of what they call senior-itis, oh its a DEADLY disease, for any Juniors out their beware.

Anyway, I'm going to be uploading lots of shiz here soon. A few more from Thunder, some new ones of an exciting day out with my Joker (my horse), a few from our high school's softball team that I had to cover for my yearbook class, and then their's prom coming up that I'm sure to get some shots of (FYI I'm not wearing a typical prom dress, far from it actually, but thats all the hints I'm dropping for now, you'll have to waitz =]), also my besties Courtney has asked me to take her senior portraits so you'll see some of those up here as well. Well woosh, thats alot. haha. Hope this makes up for my lack in activity.

OH lastly, I'm pretty darn excited. I may be getting Adobe Photoshop CS3 for a graduation present -ish excited- YAY!

Well thats it peace out!

a break well needed.

Sun Apr 6, 2008, 11:13 AM
So YAY school is OUT. Well for at least the week, spring break chyeah! I'm soooo happy. I needed this break so bad. Considering I had a bad bad case of Senior-istis. -Sigh- It is nice not having anything to do. It really is. Not to mention I'm loving the spring weather! Today I went down to Jokers (my horse) to clean his stall out, I had wanted to go riding but it was just to muddy. yuck. But I settled for some nice pictures that I'm more then satisfied with. You'll be seeing a BUNCH of deviations soon. Just as a warning. They got a new Thoroughbred gelding at the barn also. And considering he's an ex-racehorse I'm exactic! I <3 horse racing, and he's the first I've ever gotten close enough to pet that'd ever even been to a track. I know I'm crazy. Horse crazy that is. Haha I don't even care. Well HAPPY SPRING!
